Josua Peter
Growing up amidst South African traditions and the down-to-earth culture of North Holland, singer-songwriter Josua Peter spent years searching for his own voice. His songs, inspired by personal struggles, explore themes of identity, self-love, and hope. He further shapes this journey on his new EP, “Closer Than You Think”. In 2027, he embarks on his first tour and returns to the stage at Merleyn.
With a distinctive voice influenced by artists like Ray LaMontagne, Two Gallants, and Bon Iver, Josua commands an impressive four-octave range. His music offers hope — unfiltered and pure — striking a chord deep in the heart with honesty and sincerity.
His debut single, ‘Bones’, was an instant hit, earning him both a Radio 2 Topsong and a 3FM Megahit. Following a stunning performance at Noorderslag, he was named a 3FM Talent. With his second single ‘Pins and Needles’, a new EP on the horizon, and appearances at festivals such as Paaspop, Concert at Sea, and Appelpop, Josua Peter is set to become an unmissable presence in 2026.
In 2027, he brings “Closer Than You Think” to life through an intimate live show where music, storytelling, and human connection converge.
