With nearly twenty years of musical experience under his belt, guitarist, songwriter, and producer Guido Joseph has decided to leave the band behind. Chef’Special is embarking on a period of reflection and retreat. But before that happens, the five of them want to do it all together one last time. One last run of club shows. One last tour from Haarlem to Maastricht, from Rotterdam to Nijmegen.
Five friends hopped into their VW bus to travel across Europe. Minimal planning, endless possibilities. What followed is hard to sum up: five albums, countless festivals, a stint as the house band for “De Wereld Draait Door”, opening for Twenty One Pilots, playing Madison Square Garden, and the list goes on. Chef’Special managed to create a distinctive and unique sound by blending pop, rock, funk, reggae, and hip-hop.
After nearly two decades of performing, the band is touring the country together one last time. Throughout this journey, they realized that the stage is where everything comes together. Wherever they play, that signature blend of euphoria, musicality, and connection between the band and the audience emerges. So, one last time it is.
