Roosbeef
Since their breakthrough, Roosbeef (the band led by singer and songwriter Roos Rebergen) has emerged as one of the most distinctive voices in Dutch-language music. Roosbeef’s music is playful, unsettling, moving, and relatable. With the singles ‘Binnensmonds’ and ‘De leugen’, the band is announcing a sixth studio album.
Roos Rebergen is considered one of the most influential lyricists of her generation. Over the course of five albums, she and her band have built a loyal following in the Netherlands and Belgium, earning widespread acclaim from both listeners and the press. In 2024, Roos released an album featuring classical arrangements of her songs, created in collaboration with the string quartet SunSunSun Orchestra; the record and numerous sold-out shows garnered glowing reviews.
Meanwhile, she was working on new material. That process was overshadowed by the passing of bandmate and friend Tom Pintens, as well as a period during which Roos stepped back to focus on her mental health. With a new album on the horizon, Roos Rebergen continues to reinvent herself without ever losing her unique voice.
